Le Tour des Possibles in details
Encourage and facilitate citizen involvement in the energy transition.
By gathering information on grassroot initiatives all around the world. During the trip, we met numerous people who have developed innovative ideas, adapted to their environments and aiming at a more sustainable energy consumption.
We focused on initiatives with the following characteristics:
- positive environmental impact
- implemented locally by the citizens
- low cost
Two main types of projects are:
- collaborative projects with an important social impact and requiring the involvement of several people.
- Low-Tech projects characterised by their low cost, low environmental impact and by the fact that they can be built locally by everyone.
We evaluated the encountered projects following several criteria: environmental impact, people involved, context, technical feasibility, and cost. These elements give key information to people who would like to replicate some initiatives in another environment.
